BRIGHTS HARDWARE OPENS TO THE PUBLIC ONCE AGAIN
Following the ministerial address on Wednesday 29 April and the new regulations announced under lockdown level 4, we are very pleased to announce that BRIGHTS Hardware will once again be open to the public as of Saturday 02 May and we will be selling our full range of products without restrictions.
All eight of our stores, situated in Boston, Blackheath, Brackengate, Langebaan, Mitchells Plain, Montague Park, Plattekloof and Uitzicht will be trading, and a selected range of products will be available from our online store, which can be browsed at www.brights.co.za.
Until further notice our trading hours on Saturdays will be 8am to 2pm, and 8am until 4pm on Mondays to Fridays. All stores will be closed on Sundays.
The health of our employees and customers remains paramount and we will be implementing strict hygiene protocols as required by Government. All employees will be temperature tested before entering and leaving the premises and will be required to wear a face shield or mask as part of their uniform. Alcohol-based hand sanitiser will be available at every workstation – with employees being required to sanitise their hands regularly throughout the day. Employees must also observe social distancing, keeping 1.5 metres away from customers and fellow employees.
In addition to this, all customers entering the BRIGHTS stores will be required to use the sanitiser provided and to wear a mask at all times – customers not wearing a mask will be refused entry into the store. We will only allow a limited number of customers into the stores at any one time and they will be required to maintain social distancing inside and outside the store, with a queuing distance of 1.5 metres between people.
We would also like to encourage customers to shop alone – rather leave other family members at home for their safety.

We look forward to welcoming customers back into the BRIGHTS stores and reiterate that all possible measures will be taken to protect both our staff and our customers. For any deliveries required our drivers and their assistants will wear masks or face shields as well as latex gloves. Sanitiser will be provided inside all the delivery vehicles and they will be required to maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from the customer.
